Kimberly K. Schulz, MD, graduated with honors from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She completed residencies in Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic followed by Dermatology at the University of Iowa. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of multiple local and national medical organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Schulz uses her years of expertise as a top-ranked dermatologist to train her staff and educate patients on the importance of overall skin, nail and hair health, wellness and longevity. She encourages cutting edge skin and hair care, a healthy lifestyle, proper skin maintenance and diet to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. It is her mission to help patients avoid and reverse photo damage and oxidative stress and improve their overall health so they can feel as youthful as they look.
As an expert injector, Dr. Schulz is a national trainer for cosmetic injectables such as neuromodulators and fillers. She travels to physician clinics across the country to share her expertise and knowledge on injectable techniques for a safe and natural looking outcome. She was recently awarded Diamond Status by Allergan, Inc. (the makers of Juvéderm, Botox® Cosmetic and Vycross technology fillers such as Voluma), placing her in the top two percent of physician injectors in the United States. She has also recently been awarded Presidential Elite Status by Galderma, the maker of Dysport®, the Restylane® family of fillers and Sculptra® Aesthetic. Galderma’s Presidential Elite designation recognizes the top 1% of physician injectors nationwide.
Her practice was recently honored with the Ultra Premier Provider Award, having treated more patients with Ultherapy® than any other provider in a 7-state Midwest region. She is consistently recognized as one of the “Best Doctors in America” and among the annual “Top Doctors” honorees.
Dr. Andrews earned admission into the world-renowned University of California at Berkeley where he studied Molecular and Cell Biology.
Dr. Andrews decided to continue his studies in California and attended a top five medical school – University of California, San Francisco. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Honor Society, a designation reserved for students graduating in the top ten percent of the class.
Dr. Andrews left California in pursuit of his dream to become a surgeon. He matched at the Johns Hopkins Hospital General Surgery Residency Program. It was through his association with Hopkins that he received a Resident Research Fellowship at the Department of Surgical Oncology at the Jonsson Cancer Center at the University of California, Los Angeles where he studied genetic immunotherapy. Dr. Andrews has presented at national and regional Society meetings and is published in numerous peer-reviewed medical and surgical journals.
Dr. Andrews finished his General Surgery Residency at Phoenix Integrated Surgical and earned his MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA. Motivated by his desire to marry form and function, art and science, Dr. Andrews completed a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Andrews and his wife, also a Los Angeles native, relocated to the Midwest in 2009 and are happily raising their children in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Dr. Andrews is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
